It's illegal to supply water unfit for human consumption in this country.
Your teams hold that responsibility in the palms of their hands.
I'm your standards and training partner — closing the gap between what your teams know and what actually happens on site.
why utilities
There's a gap running through the water industry that nobody quite owns. Water companies and tier one contractors set the standards, but what actually happens on site, every day, at every level of the supply chain, often doesn't match what's expected.
That gap isn't a training problem or a compliance problem on its own, it's a culture problem, and it comes down to whether the people doing the work know the standards and believe they are actually theirs to own.
Part of the reason that gap exists is because the industry is evolving new entrants without water-specific backgrounds join the industry every day, we can not assume knowledge is a given. Training and resources need to be built for the people on the ground delivering the work. If your standards live in corporate speak, and your resources sit in playbooks nobody on site opens, they stop at the office door.
I've spent twelve years learning how to make complex, technical industries understandable, in engineering, sustainable manufacturing and now water. What I bring is the work of closing that specific gap, translating standards, culture and expectation into language and resources that actually reaches delivery teams, supervisors and PMs so that what's expected and what's delivered start to look like the same thing.

How we work together
For delivery teams and standards on site
Training and playbooks built for head office rarely reach the people doing the work. When standards live in corporate speak, they stop at the office door, and what's expected and what's delivered start to drift apart.
I make training and inductions that speak to delivery teams in their language, showing standards in action, not just written down.
For leadership teams building reputation
Leaders want to win the work, build a reputation worth having, and recruit and retain the people to deliver it, but they can't embed standards alone. They need systems, knowledge and CPD, and most don't know what they don't know yet.
Live Mains is the community being built for you, real conversations, insights and knowledge shared with people facing the same problem.
